U.S. Court of International Trade

The site provides useful information for both the general public and specific information for people working with the court. General information includes background on the U.S. Court of International Trade and its role in the judicial system and biography on judges. Specific information includes a calendar of events, a directory of staff and attorney admissions and a list of available positions for employment.


U.S. Department of Commerce

This site provides information on the DOC including goals and census reports. The site also contains news updates of matters regarding commerce and provides links to other government sites covering various business topics.


International Trade Administration

This site is connected to the United States Department of Commerce site; it provides general information on how to export a product.


Customs and International Trade Law--Riggle and Craven, LLP

This is the web site for Riggle and Craven law firm in Chicago. It contains updates from various courts, including Supreme Court Rulings in matters regarding trade. Also contains trade tips, a glossary of trade and customs terms, trade links, biographical information on attorneys at the firm and information on the city of Chicago.


Tradewinds Publishing Co.

This is the site for Tradewinds Publishing Co. TradeWinds focuses on the electronic publication of information that assists in the promotion of International Trade. The site allows users to download documents regarding trade i.e. WTO Legal Texts.


Hague Conference on Private International Law

This site has information on business and trade-related roundtables that it conducts in sites around the world, although most in European sites. Clicking on "events" will lead you to this information. For more future information on the roundtables, the cost, and the subject matter, it is best to contact this organization via its web site.


International Court of Justice (ICJ)


International Institute of the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT)

This site has information about the Center for Comparative and Foreign Law Studies. The school is maintained in Italy and is a joint venture of the Italian National Research

Council, the University of Rome 'La Sapienza', and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT). The Director of the Centre is Prof. Michael Joachim Bonell and his and the centre’s main research field is comparative law in general and foreign private law in particular. This general field then has classes that are further specialized in commercial law.


International Law Commission (ILC)

You must be a member of the ILC to participate in the trade law sessions that this site advertises. There is one training session every year and only members can attend. The training sessions are held in a variety of locations around the world and have members who sit on the Court of International Justice.


Cornell International Trade Law

This site has the trade law resource of US constitutional areas that deal with trade and the federal trade measures. These are available by name, where you click and read the text. Like US Customs Duties and Foreign Relations and Intercourse, China Trade and Promotion of Export Trade by the FTC. The international material goes over Conventions and Treaties like the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (1980) and GATT.


International Centre for Commercial Law

This site has links to every country with a commercial law office. This is not a site for commercial law information that you can research, rather a place to find a firm that can perform the research for you.


International Trade Law Project

This site will link you to a plethora of other trade and commercial related law sites. There are links to international trade law, federal trade law, and general international law. This is a very reliable site.


UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL)

Includes conventions, model laws and other texts, preparatory documents, case law (CLOUT) and ratifications and enactments. .
