International Institute of the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT)
This site has information about the Center for Comparative and
Foreign Law Studies. The school is maintained in Italy and is a joint
venture of the Italian National Research
Council, the University of Rome 'La Sapienza', and the International
Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT). The Director of
the Centre is Prof. Michael Joachim Bonell and his and the centre’s
main research field is comparative law in general and foreign private
law in particular. This general field then has classes that are further
specialized in commercial law.
International Law Commission (ILC)
You must be a member of the ILC to participate in the trade law
sessions that this site advertises. There is one training session every
year and only members can attend. The training sessions are held in a
variety of locations around the world and have members who sit on the
Court of International Justice.
Cornell International Trade Law
This site has the trade law resource of US constitutional areas that
deal with trade and the federal trade measures. These are available by
name, where you click and read the text. Like US Customs Duties and
Foreign Relations and Intercourse, China Trade and Promotion of Export
Trade by the FTC. The international material goes over Conventions and
Treaties like the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the
International Sale of Goods (1980) and GATT.
